The new RX6600 (tested)

just use gminer - will work both, amd and nvidia

Sure can

I’m 1500 shares up over a 24 hour period using dual miners TBM + T-rex over using gminer for both

5 x 6600 XT
2 x 3070

Cool, the (960 | 640/640/1100 | 950) is the best I have tested so far! My four cards run around 42w too.

It’s interesting that, lower core and lower VDD eats more power?

Hi bro u i try use ur settings but my rig keeps having high LA causing it to stop mining. Any advise?

The only LA Problem ive ever had was a broken PSU
If it stops mining look into miner - maybe you need less aggressive oc

What does less aggressive mean bro? Im really confused since im newbie

try sometime without middlepart of oc … vdd mvdd etc.
If i have a new card i didnt have yet, i google and search here in forum to find an oc on the same model memory and better - same model of card i have … then i try. if its not stable i look for others
any time i find a good oc …
for a new card i spend some hours to find a good, stable oc
and every card is different. theres no general way

try core 900 and 950 …if it´s stable look further

there are many problems - hardware, bios, cards etc …

Hi,

I was testing the setting (960 | 640/640/1100 | 950) ended up with the lowest power I’ve had so far. It was 260w on the wall for my complete 4x 6600 platform.

However, testing for hours, I have the same LA problem as yours. Also, I have a message about missing cards.

I thought a reboot would be working to restart the mining. But not. I cannot start mining again after a reboot. To start again, I have back to a previous setting (900 | 620/620/1100 | 950). Which wall power usage is 284w. After the miner starts, I can apply (960 | 640/640/1100 | 950) again to achieve the lower 260w power.

However, after hours the issue of the missing cards may appear again, and watchdog rebooting cannot restart the mining, as I said.

I finally figured out another setting (910 | 700/650/1100 | 950). It’s 268w on the wall and has no issue of rebooting.

I need to test more hours. But it should be stable enough since a rebooting can solve any possible crash.

8w more power usage is the only downside, but it’s still great, isn’t it?

A screenshot here:

(ignore the temps, I currentyl insert the cards directly to the board without any space)

One more thing I found interesting is: the 900mhz core is a changing point.

Any value above 900mhz can result less power but also more unstable. Which very weird.

For example, I cannot run 650mv 650mv for even 905mhz. But 900 is okay, even with 620mv 620mv.

Meanwhile, I tested above, 900 620 620 uses much more power than 960 650 650, even 910 700 650.

Hi same error with me also…updated drivers to latest and no use…

remove all overclock settings, and use CC and MC only. don’t use VDD VDDI MVDD first @surya12

Yes after having several because with Hynix memory, it’s not great

8 hours for now and looks ok:

Any suggestion?

stable week. gminer

Hey guys, I’m a newbie with mining. I’ve just started mining with my 1st GPU Radeon RX 6600 and still trying to config its OC. Can you give me some advice for what I should do with my current setting? On the worker menu, my rig is also listed having problems but I couldn’t figure out what went wrong. Really appreciate if you can help. Thanks!

Starknighttp, here are some OCs for a RX 6600. These will give around 29MH/s at 36-38w in HiveOS;

You can further tweak the settings and get higher MH/s rates but the power consumption will increase. I have these OCs running on four 6600s without issues.

Thanks. Have shaved off 6 watts (reported) in Hive.
