Vega 64 - 54MH/s with less than 130w

Beta?

Very nice results. But where did you get these 2018 versions? techpowerup.com doesn’t have them

I followed your guide with the exception of the strap mod so far. Used the beta image as the stable version wouldn’t let the card hash at all. The card will not hash at all on this update version either. Super odd. When it did hash on your original update version it was like 21-22 mh/s. Something is crazy with the volting of it.

If I have your exact software versions, with the Vega included with my 4 rx580’s I have to raise their core mv go nearly 1200 to get 85w to them. If I do that and remove the Vega from the situation they spike go 160-170 watts like they normally should. I attempted the copy paste your straps in but didn’t notice a change. Any input would be great. I took it out of the rig now so the 580’s could work per usual

Stable works fine with version 0.6-195@210127 doesn’t work higher for some reasons…
Straps are important if you don’t put them you won’t have a good hashrate

I’m going to do them Monday when I’m back around it. It’s just so odd it will not hash what so ever. Except that one particular beta version and then it’s still very hay wire. I’ll report back post straps.

I still don’t know which version is the one that works. Is it beta, vega or stable?

Update I didn’t have a ton of time to work with it but I had it running stable in your above version of beta. Didn’t effect the 580’s like last night but I basically reverted back to 64 bios and didn’t apply any settings what so ever in hive, amdmem or anything and saw 38 hash. When I flashed to 56 without any further mods it dropped to 32. I left it out of the rig until I can be there in case it crashes it. Would that be normal I assume to drop hash from bios to bios without oc or memtweak. Tomorrow I am going to reload 56 and add your straps and see what it will do. In stock form I cannot modify core of memory at all without it crashing.

Another update I’m heading in the right direction but still not there quite. Photo attached. I copied your amd settings exactly. Oc seen in pic. Seeing 47 mg/s consistent Much better than 22 but still not 54 lol. Any thoughts?

.

Here is the amd line. Also tried sapphire and msi bios both to see if it mattered and it didn’t.

eth-config=B on TeamRedMiner should be the only thing you need at that stage

Im on phoenixminer. Here is the mem state of it.

Will absolutely not work for me in stable I took everything I got to 47 hash in beta with 191 version and applied to stable and 195 and the Vega just will not mine no idea why. I thought it was something stupid in my end but considering it’s hashing 47 or 48 in beta tells me otherwise. Same straps and settings. I’m at a loss honestly.

What miner are you using? I found that TeamRedMiner consumed MUCH less power and kept my cards running cooler than Phoenix.

Increase your fan speed to 95% to cool the cards down. You may be running into thermal throttling. Maybe not, but I keep my fans blasting! Fans are CHEAP compared to new cards and with the price of ETH you want those hashrates as high as possible.

What does mean that DPM ?

How I use the straps? Where to write them?. Is a lot lack of examples on this forum. I think people here just use this forum just to brag off with what they have done .

Nice Picture. Unfortunately nobody cant copy the line to use it by themsefls. Usless

No one is stopping you from copying those and using them for yourself. Attitude much? I’m also not bragging about anything I’m clearly asking for help because I’m failing to attain what others are. Get medicated for that attitude bud. Geez. Cringe city.

I wish that was if. It’s running at 53/68 mostly. I pegged them just to check but no luck.

Does anyone know if HiveOS is working on fixing the startup script process? Is there a way to officially log a defect other than Discord?
