So i have seen someone facing the same problem
I recently i have purchased z590m plus to mine 2 3060 cards PRIME Z590M-PLUS|Motherboards|ASUS Global
On the website it shows that motherboard can support 2 pcie slots at 3.0 x8/x8 but it delivers only 3.0 x8/x4 , so my 2nd 3060 gpu hashrate drops to 26 mhs even with dummy hdmi plugged in , i have tried everything still no luck
Im using G6400 processor
Another person have came up with same issue 2 x RTX 3060
Intel® 11th & 10th Gen Processors*
1 x PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot
Intel® 11th Gen processors support PCIe 4.0 x16 or x8/x8 or x8/x4/x4 mode
Intel®10th Gen processors support PCIe 3.0 x16 or x8/x8 or x8/x4/x4 mode
Intel® Z590 Chipset 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (supports x4 mode)
2 x PCIe 3.0 x1 slots
** * Supports PCIe bandwidth bifurcation for RAID on CPU function.**
2nd PCIe x16 support x4 lines only, You cant change it to x8 in any way.
May be, just May be there is possibility to take 2x 8x lines from first x16 PCIe express slot.
NP, But it is expensive solution. For this price you can have MB+16GB+CPU with 2x x16 PCIe 3.0 from china. Or any x370/x470 Amd boards are for less money
I will consider this plan , the seller mentioned on their website that they accept the return of product with 15% penalty, in this case if they do i would go for this , or if they dont i will look for cheaper mobo or pcie 3.0 from china
Hey buddy i have purchased g6400 pentium gold processor with that board , now im planning to buy z490A as i said on previous comment , Z490A supports g6400 10th gen processor, if i install g6400 processor will it support x8/x8 ? Or shall i return the processor also
I dont know generations of common Intel CPUs. I am using XEON from Intel or AMD CPUs. I hate intel socket strategy so i dont use common Intel CPUs anymore. If is possible to return CPU too, check the possibility AMD x370/x470 Mbs + any AMD non APU CPU (1600 for example).
