3090 idiot question

he
Idiot here

I have some 3080s working fine. I have a 3090 coming in the next few weeks.
I want to swap a 3080 for the 3090
Can I just simply change the card or do i have to update the driver for the specific card as well? (Linux)

Iā€™m a windows person so kinda assumed there would be an autodetect driver thing going on but i guess not???.

also hoped that the nvidia driver i must currently be using for the 3080 will also contains support for all nvidia recent cards???

using latest hiveos, latest t-rex and an asus mining mobo.
thank you !!

hey
just like windows it will detect new card and list it

how ever it will probably apply your old card OC to your new card aswell which you should change it manually
