6800 XT bricked?

Hi there,

I’ve been using HiveOS for 5 years now.

My rig had 6 RX 580 Special Edition working for a few years.
I switched 2 of these for this:

  • 2x MSI RX 6800 XT Gaming X Trio 16G

I just put some OC settings and all were working fine for a few days.

Then the rig crashed and one of the new cards was not working anymore with following error:

  • [drm:amdgpu_discovery_init [amdgpu]] ERROR invalid ip discovery binary signature

I tried to use it on Windows (42 error, black screen) and decided to flash it with this bios, it didn’t work, so I put back the original bios.
Now, I’m getting this error:

  • Loading AMD drivers, 1 GPU
    [DRM:amdgpu_discovery_reg_base_init [amdgpu]] ERROR invalid IP discovery binary signature
    [DRM:amdgpu_discovery_reg_base_init [amdgpu]] ERROR amd_gpu_discovery_init failed

I’m thinking the card had been bricked due to memory setting of my 580 applied to my 6800 XT…
I’m really desperate…
