Asus h410m-e GPU Limit

Hi!

I need your help. I am trying to build a new rig with the following components:

  • mobo: asus h410m-e (chipset max 6 lanes)

  • cpu: intel celeron g5905 (max 16 lanes)

  • psu: 2x corsair rm850

  • ram: g.skill aegis 8gb ddr4

  • os:hiveos

As per Asus specs mobo has the following explansion slots:

  • Intel® 10th Gen Processors

1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 (x16 mode)

  • Intel® H410 Chipset

2 x PCIe 3.0 x1

Tried to connect pcie multiplicators (6-4 or 4-4-4) on the pcie ports but max gpus detected is always 7.

Already tried all the basic settings in bios:

  • Gen 2 and Gen 1

  • 4G Decode ENABLED

Can you please help me?

Thank you!

Sounds about right. Splitters are hit or miss depending on boards/cpu/cards being used with them. If you want a board that supports x amount of cards, get a board that supports x amount of cards without hassle.
