Does overclock apply to gpu's or their slots?

Ive overclocked my cards optimally, but now want to reorganize my gpu’s order on my rig.
I fear that this will mess up my overclock settings. Is this anything to worry about, or does overclock settings still recognize and adapt when i change gpu slots and apply to correct gpus?

no OC is linked to PCIE slot, not GPU
