I would like to mine just as a hobby, I would use a single card, probably an RX 6600.
Is an integrated CPU enough to run it effectively? I can get a cheap AMD E1-2100 embedded CPU based motherboard. It has 2 cores + integrated Radeon graphics and one PCI Express 2.0 x4 slot. Does HiveOS support such CPUs? As it has a consumption of 9W (CPU) + 50W (RX 6600 during mining) + mobo consumption + loss on PSU side, I would probably run it from a solar panel so no electric cost would appear.
What do you think?
I dont know that CPU but if it is an “X64” based / CAN RUN WINDOWS on it
I would imagine it would support it
Linux can be run on that “platform” so yes I would expect HiveOS to run on it
I have an integrated / laptop style processor in my rig
a Pentium 987 a 2 core 1.5 GHZ unit and never had ANY issues
and my “test” launch was an OLD intel atom unit that would be close to your setup
