GPU Not Detected - But Displays

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for all the activity on this forum. It has already helped me out so much.

Ran into a weird snag today when I tried to plug in a new 1660. After a reboot of the rig, the new card won’t show up on the portal. Did some digging and tried to update the drivers, no luck.

Learned that you have to plug a monitor into the GPU plugged into the 16x slot for some setups… so I did that and the card that is not being detected is showing Linux and such.

Why won’t the card appear for mining, but will actually work as a video card? Any recommendations?

Similar problem with RX480. HiveOS can see the GPU, but cannot mine with it.

I am having the same issue — just set up a new rig and got HiveOS running on it. I have a 3070 on a riser and it isn’t being detected. I’ve tried switching out the risers but that hasn’t fixed it. Did you find a solution?
