Hey everyone, first post here. I’m having a strange issue with my 1080 cards and hope someone can help. Recently got into mining with spare parts laying around. Initial setup was a windows 10 machine with the following hardware
Msi z77a-gd55 mobo
16gb ram
3770k
120gb ssd
2x evga gtx 1080 sc
1x evga gtx 1070 sc
1000watt atx psu
1200watt hp server psu
On windows I was able to get an oc setting of +150mhz cc and +500mhz memory on the 1080s and +175 cc and 0 memory on the 1070.
Same thing when I started using hiveos. Although doubt the value on the memory on hive os, so 1000mhz memory.
I recently bought 2 more 1080s, and after adding them the original cards oc were no longer stable. Not only that, once I found another stable oc, after each restart of the machine, the new oc was no longer stable. And it kept going. Every time I restart the machine, I have to turn down the memory oc by 50mhz on every card to get the miner to start mining without gpu error. Started with 500mhz oc on every card, and now down to 175mhz memory oc on each card. Whats interesting though is I barely lost any hashrate. Was at 35.5mhs at 500mhz memory oc, and now at 34.5 at 175mhz memory oc.
Does anyone have any experience with this or know what could be causing this?
