Hive os consuming lot of watts compared to windows

When I mine on Windows, apart from the consumption of gpus : 35 watts.
On Hive os 100 watts!
I guess it’s because hive os runs my processor at its base frequency and voltage,
Where windows reduces these 2 parameters dynamically when the processor is not used, thus greatly reducing power consumption.

Can we do the same thing under Hive OS, instead of changing the settings in the BIOS?

well HiveOS doesnt have options to downclock the CPU. but its linux so if you can do it with linux console than it can be done.
