Hive OS not booting after first restart

Hello all,

I’m quite new to Hive OS but I’ve been using Ubuntu for about a year now as my daily driver. I’ve been trying to install Hive OS on a separate PC with two 1050 TIs and I’ve been able to do so but after restarting the rig using the inbuilt reboot command, I get an error:

Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:
-Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
-Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
-Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
ALERT! UUID=[Some UUID] does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

BusyBox v1.27.2 (Ubuntu 1:1.27.2-2ubuntu3.2) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

Now I did copy this text from another site as I didn’t want to type it all out but the issue still applies. How do I fix this issue so I can use Hive OS?

Thank you

I forgot to mention, I’m trying to run Hive OS off a 16GB USB - I’ve seen this done on articles and YouTube videos so I can’t see why this would be the issue

Hi there,

I have the same exact issue, was running fine on USB stick and i tried to connect a SSD and have this issue.

Have you resolved this ?

Thanks in advance

Edit : I managed to get it work by switching SATA port on the motherboard.
