r9 390

can’t seem to get it to recognize my r9 390, am i missing something? or does hive os not support this card? thanks

Strange- it sees my R9 290x (which is almost the same card). I’m just having a problem with fan control!

i think maybe it was because I downloaded an older version on accident. I’m going to retry with the latest version.

can’t overclock the R9 390 has anyone tried ? and whether they are chasing at all?

MSI R9 390 Hive os hive-0.5-32-20180228 cant see card it doed not initialize it can you make support for it???

When support R9 390 will be realized in Hive OS???

can anybody confirm r9 280/290 series overclocking? cause no mater what i set up in OC - freq is still the same for my rig.

that`s my oc log:

can read, but cannot open for edit. anyway to edit it and overclock??

Ok, I know this is an old thread and most people will not be looking here but here it goes any ways…

I have the following setup

MB: Asrock H110 Pro BTC + ( latest Bios)
Celeron Proc. 2.9 ghz
16 GB of Ram DDR 4
10 PCIe power risers
10 MSI R9 390 (still Stock no modding)
M.2 256
Kingston 32 Mem stick
2 EVGA 1000w G2 PSU
1 EVGA 850w G2 PSU

I keep getting an error that they are not VGA devices

I have tried SMOS and can get it to work there but seem to have an issue with HiveOs I would like to use hive over simple mining. Could it be the Claymore version as suggest to someone else, in SMOS i have to use 11.0 up to 11.4 how can I change to the earlier versions?

Thanks in advance

Greetings, to date do you know if the r9 390 is compatible?

I’m currently mining on a R9 390 using Phoenixminer on HiveOS. TeamRedMiner did not recognize the 390. I’m trying to get overclocking/undervolting working, but haven’t had any luck. Getting 30MH/s hashrate, but all overclock settings I’ve tried lower the hashrate, so as of now, I’m not overclocking any. I was able to overclock/undervolt it on Windows and was seeing a 10-15% increase in hashrate.

can I ask what BIOS are you using? and what R9 390?

this is the one i have Filebin :: bin y8b4282w8x953mxu
its pretty undervolted. It works just fine on one of my rigs (12 year olf mobo and cpu),
but its unstable in my “mining” rig with asrock h81 pro btc, so it may or may not work for you…

This is for ASUS r9 390 (SK Hynix H5GC4H24AJR), flash at your own discretion.

For reference, with my old pc running 4x r9 390 i’m getting 30.00-30.07Mh/s with few fans and 1 disk, 2 riser + 2 pcies at 840W from the wall.

EDIT: if im not mistaken TRM dropped support for hawaii arhitecture sometime ago… that’s why its not working. I’m currently using lolminer because it gives me notable increase over phoenixminer (0.1 - 0.15Mh/s)

EDIT EDIT: i think hiveos doesn’t fully suport these gpus since you can’t completely mod it directly from interface, you have to edit the bios and just use hiveos for fan control.

I am trying to get my R9 280X’s to work on hiveos - could you give me some tips as to how you got your 290x working?

Hiveos Version
Mods
etc

I am trying to mine Vertcoin but can’t get the Verthashminer to work at all!! Driving me nuts :frowning:

280x is a different architecture from the 290x (Tahiti vs Hawaii).

You’re not going to get any help from 290X users.

hello, sorry to annoy, is it possible to have that bios again? it is not there anymore. thanks a lot
