RTX 3060 getting worse hashrate with overclocking when mining ERGO

I don’t recommend you… that only increase Mhz in memory of 400, you can do it manually that 400Mhz. That P0 state is a protection for the memory when using CUDA. For Ergo is not so important that extra like for ETHASH

That’s a good call, I’ve been looking to find the top speed but I pretend to running it with less stress, 118 @ 98 its not that bad after all.

Sorry if I ask a stupid question. How did you lock core and set core offset on linux or you’re using windows? Thank you for your reply

Guys, need help…
I have the rig with 5 pc of 3060 RTX (first rev)
It mined well ergo on the 460.39 driver, more that 120+ each

Last week I added 3070 ti to the rig, on this driver (460.39) 3070 ti does not work.

I started testing different drivers and tried it: 460.84 460.91.03 465 465.24.02 465.27 465.31 - everything starts, but 3060 on the ergo does not give more than 80.
At 460.73.01 - 3070 ti again stops being detected

How can I fix it? overclocking was the same on nbminer and t-rex.
How can i use 3060 rev1 + 3070 ti in one rig.

As of now, you can’t get 120 MH and use 3070ti and 3060 with the same motherboard. You will have to get a new motherboard OR have to sacrifice some MH. I have a 3080ti and have the same issue. I had to setup another rig just for the ti’s.

But what the reason?
Yesterday I spend all night to check different settings.
I managed to achieve speed 104MH 3060 with nbminer 37.5

The reason is that nvidia patched new drivers to give old cards less hashing power. But the thing with Ti cards is that they were released later so you will have to run somewhat new drivers which means lower hashrate for old cards with these new drivers.

I hate windows mining, on Hive i have a 3060 dialed in to 118mh @115w windows couldn’t keep a stable OC if its damn life depended on it.

Ive been able to get 104-108 then dips to 77 - 89 back to 104 back down…

For me, its giving me 120-121 Mh/s constantly… You can use the OC settings below.

Nvidia Driver: 460.39
Hive OS version: 0.6-209@210819

This only works for v1 3060s with driver 460.39. And then it is not the best setting.

Try absolute core clock.

core 1550 memory 2550 power 120 fan 85%.

I just started mining this week with a 3060… I didn’t know about the limiter when I bought it. Before switching to 460.39 it was getting 22MH/s and yet after trying different overclocking settings I can’t get it above 37 MH/s. What am I missing? I’m mining Eth on hiveon using lolminer.

Try miniZ

LHR? if yes which driver are you using? Thanks

I’ ve 19 RTX 3060 and 1 RTX 3080 . Herominers and T-rex.

Are they 3060 V1? what driver are you using? I have a 3060 v2 and a 3070 non lhr. I am looking for the best driver minnier should I use for ergo? I tryed to use trex and nbminer i got like 76mhs and 172mhs. should. I can see 125 sometime when it start then 65 -80 max

anyone have better luck?

BigTHANK’S to @ reugner For is help
I am now using Lolminer with this argument: --cclk *,1297 so my 3060 get a clock lock of 1297
Its a 3060 v2 card and the 3070 is non LHR . Before the 3060 was at 70-80mhs max
-242 2700
:beers: :beers:

driver 460.39, does it works on LHR v2 ?

No, unfortunately not.
