Red Bios show me 3 memory type, I tried doing so for the 3 but the card crashed. I already have 54mhs without bios update! I wonder if it worth trying it.
Ok I grab the bios with HiveOS and modded it again and iām now hashing at 58.4. First time I extracted the bios with GPU-Z and it might be the problem!
Hi! I have the same situation, I donāt know if itās normal or not. I just got it and I was playing around in HiveOS with the settings. But sometimes it stopped mining and rebooted the system. Iād like to know if thatās also normal for this type of card.
Hi, Iām new to mining and I just got an Asus TUF 5700XT and Iām using HiveOS. I see I can modify voltages and all of that through the overclocking setting in HiveOS, but I see a lot of people modding the BIOS. Should I also mod the BIOS to take full advantage in HiveOS or by just changing the overclocking settings in HiveOS is enough? Thanks for your help!
With overclock I went from 49mhs to 54mhs. Modding the card I went to 58.4mhs with OC. If you want to play game with the card donāt mod it!
Thatās very useful, thank you very much! I thought the BIOS Mod was to replicate the values from the clocks weāre inserting in HiveOS, but itās now a bit clearer to me the purpose of the mod.
Hey, Iām step by step trying to get it stable with the values you provided. But I have a simply noob question, when you say: Set 800mV for core and memory, if I translate that to HiveOS, I see VDD / VDDCI and MVDD, I see the VDD and VDDCI, but not sure if I have to put anything in MVDD. Iām not modding the BIOS, and Iām looking for something stable. Should I also adjust the power level? Thanks a lot!
Hey everyone, looking for some advice about overclocking.
Is it possible the second card on my riser will not run because I have not performed any BIOS modding?
Does Anyone know the best setting for these cards in particular?
Whenever I try to run the 2nd Card on a riser I receive amdgpu error. Msg Issuing Precheck failed SMU may not be in the right state? I have checked the forums and there are some solutions but somewhat inconclusive. Any help is greatly appreciated. THankyou
I have the 5700XT MSI MECH and an ASUS TUF3 5700XT
I
some settings I left at defaults because I am still a noob and taking things very slowly.
Thank you!
Hey @everyone, I just found this topic and I have RX 5700 XT with samsung units.
Iāve flashed the bios and I have 55.1 mh/s and 55.4 without changing anything and for 205W.
How can I get less Watt and heat ? Cause the maximum is 90Ā°C for the memory and Iām around 92 for one of those two cards.
More cards are coming but I have to find and fix this kind of problem.
Thanks for your help.
Regards.
It is likely a bad riser. if not, are you sure you are supplying enough power?
In my experience, 100% of the time I change out the risers and that fixes it.
you need to apply the overclocks (or in many cases underclocks). This will help with power consumption and thus heat. Otherwise, you really didnāt provide any information - screenshots of the top portion of the Hive screen are super helpful, I always leave out the bottom where it shoes IP addresses and MAC addresses.
Thanks for your reply. For the moment I have 3 cards but only two are working. Iām buying an another pci-e cable.
I bought 6 risers cause 3 more cards are coming. I tried on anothers risers and memory is still around 90Ā°C.
My PSU is 850w 80% gold from a good brand so I think, maybe Iām wrong, itās not coming from this PSU.
Youāre totally right. Itās not easy for you to have an idea. The thing is I just start with HiveOs and Iām trying to find how to put a screenshot !
Just give me 1 more day and I will find how to show you. Or notā¦
I was wondering to do underclocking but cause Iāve never done it before, I have to find the best way to do it. Because youāre saying underclocking, it means I was not that far from truth !

@SybrBlue Here we go the screenshot.
Now I have to find how to undervolt correctly and keeping a good hashrate.
