The new RX6600 (tested)

901 works great for power comsumpion but in my case it turned out is unstable because a firmware issue:

As you can see works great with 113-2447LHS-UDB VBIOS (same Sapphire Pulse model) while both cards with 113-2447LHS-UDG needs higher memory voltages.

I’m looking for a way to flash VBIOS to confirm my theory but seems like the AMD tool does not support the GPU

Hi, my 8 x 6600 has been running well for the past 3 weeks. However since yesterday, some gpu detected as dead by teamredminer, causing me to reboot the rig to solve. And it did happen few times until now. Any of you guys know any possible issue?

Hi @edwinst31, kit list as requested…

Mobo = MSI B450-A PRO MAX
CPU = AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
RAM = Corsair Vengeance LPX 1 x 8 GB DDR4 3200 MHz (overkill but I had it lying around)
SSD = Kingston SSDNow A400 240GB
PSU = 2x EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G5 750W Modular 80+ Gold
GPU Risers = GPURisers.com
M.2 Adapter = BGNing NGFF M2 to PCI-e 4X 1X Slot Riser Card M Key M.2 2260 2280 SSD Port to PCIE Adapter
PCIE Splitters = BGNing PCI-E 1 to 4 PCI express 16X slots Riser Card PCI-E 1X to External 4 PCI-e Slot Adapter PCIe Multiplier Card
PSU Sync = Add2psu Dual PSU Power Supply Sync Adapter ATX 24Pin To 4pin Molex Synchronous Connector

Hope this helps :smiley:

Hi @Dojo76, I have a few identical GPUs on different firmwares as well. Hopefully some bright spark will work out a way to flash them in the future.

haloo batfink, :slight_smile:

if i may know why are you still using the M.2 slot to install the M.2 pcie adapter to PCI-E 1 to 4 PCI express?

I see your pcie x1 slot is still empty. why don’t you use pcie x1 when plugging in PCI-E 1 to 4 PCI express ??

is there any problem when using PCI-E 1 to 4 PCI express in PCIE x1 slot??

can you explain? thanks bro :slight_smile:

Thank you marcelobroiq.

I’ve been wrasslin’ this card for 2 days. The NBMiner picked it up. I appreciate it :slight_smile:

I managed to flash in Windows the same firmware, very small changes in stability and undervolting, it’s crap memory from Hynix that is far away from Samsung quality. Same results with Micron, so it’s basically average hardware components compared to high quality ones

@Dojo76, appeciate the BIOS flash tip, big thanks!

You’re welcome. It seems that the latest AMD VBFlash 3.20 does not officially support the new chipset but worked just fine, move the GPU under a Windows system backup the VBIOS and use it to flash it to the same model. I flashed 3 Sapphire Pulse RX 6600 so far, I guess it’s possible with any other card of the 6000 series

hI @edwinst31, I am using the M.2 slot because it provides 4x PCIe lanes directly to the CPU as opposed to the PCIe x1 slot you have highlighted which is provided by the mobo B450 chipset so it will suffer a small bit of latency. On this mobo and CPU (Ryzen 3200G) only the 16x and the M.2 slot can provide direct CPU PCIe lanes, in this case 8 lanes from the 16x slot and 4 lanes from the M.2 slot for a total of 12 (CPU) lanes. All the other PCIe slots and lanes are provided by the B450 chipset.

I have same OC Values thank you.

Just picked up an open box from Microcenter today. replaced a 1060 6gb that was only geting 19 Mh/s.

Has any one had luck overclocking on KawPow / RVN? I cant get it to move past 13.5 Mh/s.

On Teamredminer
mixture of brands & memory (samsung/hynix) for 6600 & 6600XT.

So far, this works stable for me. Previous other OC were crashing every 3-4 hours for 2 weeks.

I hope this can be of use to someone who has a rig of mixed cards like me.

Hi all, this probably works for me. Can anyone suggest me what i need seted for the lower temperature max to 55°C. Thanks.

Your temps look okay to me.
Memory runs hotter than the core.

I run my rig with auto-fan @66° on the memory as max. The fans are running @30-60% with this. All stable.

Thank you for your reply, I made some small improvement , cards are pretty cold and quiet.

@HereticMike, try changing core to 901, reboot and see if power drops (sounds wierd i know). 901 seems to trigger a lower power consumption ‘mode’ on all but one of my 6600s. May work may not, worth a try.

Do you use any other settings like non default SoC frequency?
