Two Asus 3060TI's ver 2 same make and model, yet very different?

I have two Asus 3060ti ver2, they are the exact same make and model, but do have different BIOS.

One will handle 1600core clock & 3200 Memclock, The other (which is the newer one with newer bios) gets GPU Temp signal warnings and mem fault warnings if I try to go anything over 2200 on mem clock.

On mining just eth the newer card always produces less mhs for more watts as well.

Any ideas? think it could be a limiter in the bios? Should I risk trying the older bios on the newer card?

im guessing the problem card has hynix memory? some hynix mem 3060tis dont like more than 1600-1800 on mem.
