If you don’t have invalids you don’t have to touch mem mv especially when you are running RC below 38 and RCDRD=12. But not every card can run these values with 1250mv. And finally if you higher your mem voltage you will rise slightly power consumption. Netflix could produce series about finding the best config for Vega, not only one season
#EDIT#
Managed to get 10 gpus running on H110 without any mb tweaking…will see how long will it stays stable. i had vegas vdd down to 315, it was working fine until i added more gpus…for some reason it needed more juice after that so went back to 330 for now, will try to lowr again tomorrow…its 03.20am here so i belive i need to sleep a bit in between…
Hello i tired today to flash a Vega64 to 56 but i got issue can you make a video of it please. It would help us all. I have the same cards like you but after flashing the screen was freezing and i could not start the miner. Please make a video how to flash it and get it work with hiveos.
No, it is not obligatory, but it could grant you more stability so less rejected shares. “could”!
For RX580 questions, this is not the place, this is a Vega topic. I assume there are RX580 topics also in the AMD forums.
May I also give you a tip; Not everybody speaks French (I do ) and now the not-French speaking readers need to do the effort of using Google translate, and I can imagine not everyone will do this. If you use Google translate yourself and put the English text (or both French and English) here in this topic, you will receive more helpful replies
If you are sure that you have right vbios, enable option like on the picture. Before flashing, download org bios to your remote computer from cards tab, bios flash options.
Allso if you have dual bios, you might want to flip that to other position so you have backup in the card saved.
Forcing flash with wrong vbios might brick your card, so choose same manufaturer, same brand/code mem vbios if possible. Should not be any problems with vega.
I have no idea how to make a video of it, but it is very easy and explained plenty of times in this thread.
Can you at least describe what brand and type you have, what you did exactly and where it went wrong? That way we can help you better.
Honestly i’m f**** getting mad with this f**** cards… soon is JUST BYE BYE AMD!!! and there faschism architecture and bios moddsetting…
I don’t understand how is it possible to obtain 50-54-Mh/s with a Vega56 card and 56 bios using value like 1000-1025-Mhz for mem clk (even with timings straps)… this is Vega64 stuff!
I have x6 Sapphire Pulse 56 (nano pcb) and for exemple why i’m saying that soon ill kick them off hard from the 5th floor that, 2 are running ok then 1 goes “gpu dead” within minutes, seconds sometime…2 others are running ok with same settings…
Some remarks on this one; there is a writable bios and write protected bios.
The one we need to use to flash is off course the writable bios, and the switch on the side of the gpu should be flipped towards the hdmi/dvi ports.
The other one, the write protected one, can save your life if you’ve flashed a wrong bios. In that case, you can flip the switch away from the hdmi/dvi ports, boot up the system, and when booted, flip the switch back towards the hdmi/dvi ports and then flash your backup bios or try another bios, and reboot off course.
Please note that not all Vega’s have this dual bios, like the Gigabyte Vega 56 Gaming OC 8G. If you flash wrong there then you’ll have a brick! But Vega’s with dual bios are hard to brick
Yes, every Vega is different, if you want them stable >50MH/s you need to do a lot of trial and error.
But please don’t throw them from the 5th floor; just send them to me; I’ll take care of them
