hello everyone, new one
I bought a Vega 56 nitro+ hynix mem gpu. Doesn’t work, reboots all the time. what settings will i use? can you help?

Thank you very much!

Hope this helps

Is this correct @ss-silver ?

Yep exactly, the Inductors seem to measure about .75mm from the factory so Ive tried both 1 & .5 on those and the 1mm were marginally better so I do 1mm for everything except that one spot at 1.5

hello guys. thank you all for sharing your settings. I want to share mine.

Radeon RX Vega 56 8176 MB · Sapphire
Samsung HBM2 · 113-376XL-UO1

amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 37 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 20 --REF 65535 --RFC 248 --RTP 5 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 13 --RCDWR 12

I received a new card, but struggling to get past 50 mh for hynix.

Radeon RX Vega 56 8176 MB · Gigabyte (Gaming OC)

Hynix HBM2 · 113-D0500300-X06

Best so far:

amdmemtweak --RC 35 --RP 13 --RAS 22 --REF 65535 --RFC 148 --RRDL 4 --RRDS 4 --RCDRD 14 --RCDWR 12

Moving above 940 does not affect hashrate, moving core clock does not affect much too so keeping it low. I have tried almost all the settings copied here and all the time card goes dead.

Managed to get 50.32 with 1075/835/965 - but big consumption:

amdmemtweak --CL 21 --RC 35 --RP 12 --WR 13 --CWL 7 --FAW 12 --RAS 23 --REF 65535 --RFC 248 --RTP 6 --RRDL 5 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 19 --RCDWR 14

Tried TRM manual, lowest RCDRD is 15 and I get 49.83 with 1100/835/950-955 (memory 965 crashes) :

amdmemtweak --CL 18 --RC 34 --RP 13 --WR 11 --CWL 7 --FAW 12 --RAS 23 --REF 17000 --RFC 148 --RTP 6 --RRDL 4 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 4 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 15 --RCDWR 11

Anyone managed to get something out of this card?

EDIT:

It seems that following straps are not needed and does nothing for hynix so why use them at all? _-CL --WR --CWL --FAW --RTP --WTRL --WTRS

Hi again guys, I am just trying to find the balance with highest hashrate and good efficiency. Feel free to comment and suggest.

HI,
I have mixed rig with a Saphire Pulse Vega56 that is giving me problems after i upgraded hiveos, i don’t know exactly the version but it was 0.6-203(don’t know the date) and i was able to get 49mhs with 117w, nothing much but OK.
Today i did the upgrade to 0.6-208@210817 and my power consumption is always at 164/165w no matter the OC and the hashrate is low. Any suggestions?

After the update:

VDD way too big, MEM way to low. just copy my settings one post up and try. increase --RCDRD if it does not work until it does. also VDD start with like 835 and go down until card crashing.

do not pay much attention to Radeon card wattage in hiveos.

Hi i have the Radeon™ RX VEGA 64 GAMING OC 8G and the best i get is 41.9mh / sec
if it goes over 42mh / sec then it crash under 1 minute

this works for me

amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 47 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 22 --REF 65535 --RFC 239 --RTP 5 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 23 --RCDWR 12

and this

amdmemtweak --CL 22 --REF 7650 --RFC 220 --RCDRD 23 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 5

but i use Windows 10 here is my Overclock on ETH

Vega64

and pulls about 155watt

And for the Autolykos algo i get 160.5mh / Sec and pulls 170watt
for Autolykos i use this Overclock

Vega64_Autolykos

Hi there,

I was wondering if you had any issues with flashing it back?

Same.

I guess it started to show more correct consumption. But 154w hynix = 104w samsung from the wall from my experience. Anyway you have way too big core clock and vdd for those hynix cards.

hello,
I have the same card.
what is your last used belt and oc settings? how fast are you getting?

I’ve not messed around with it for a few months, right now I’m stable like this. Wondering if I could get it to give a few more mh/s though.

amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 34 --RP 13 --WR 11 --CWL 7 --FAW 12 --RAS 23 --REF 17000 --RFC 164 --RTP 6 --RRDL 4 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 4 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 20 --RCDWR 11

thanks.
what belt settings are you using for ergo mining for this card? what speed are you getting? I can get a maximum of 163 mh/s.

I have not yet mined ergo with it. What are your settings?

I have most of my Gigabyte Gaming OC’s with Hynix set on:
amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 36 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 22 --REF 65535 --RFC 239 --RTP 5 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12

Some need higher RP, RAS or RCDRD though, like for example:
amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 36 --RP 13 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 23 --REF 65535 --RFC 239 --RTP 5 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 16 --RCDWR 12

Cores are 1080
Mem, most are 940 to 960; some exceptions I can get to 980 to 990. Hashrate jumps a bunch when going over 960.

I haven’t updated yet; but from the past we found out that only Gigabyte Gaming OC cards displayed the correct wattage, depending on your settings it hovered around 150 to 170W.
All other, reference and aftermarket, displayed wattages of around 100 to 120W, but were not calculating the entire card’s wattage. Maybe that’s fixed now in the update?

Please consider using hiveos; maybe as dualboot; it’s worth it, and we would be able to identify issues more easy.
