Hi I have a problem with one of my Vegas. It looks to be Gigabyte Vega 64 OC [vega3] As long as it works with original bios (as 64) everything is fine [vega2] but if I upload 56 bios for example this one: systems starts, recognizes the card: [vega4] but as soon miner starts it shows GPU2 detected dead and system reboots. I tried with 3 other bioses, I also tried with different straps, core clock, VDD at 920. I have no idea what else can I do. Does anybody have any advice?

Could you share a link to bios which works best for you?

i did flash this bios to my Gigabyte vega 64 gaming oc and i did use HiveOs and Force flashing to flash the bios

Gigabyte RX Vega 56 VBIOS

i have not test any other bios that is the only one

i get 46.7 mh/sec ETH mining with this setting

the highest on ETH mining i have got is 47.3 mh/sec but very unstable crash after about 20 sec

Thanks man. Works much better.
I mean it is not full speed (about 170 MH on ERG) but it is way better than before with 64bios. I’ll do some tests.

My card crashes with clock set to 1300, even I set core voltage to 920. Now I’m working on core 1200 and I try to go up each day if previous setting works stable.
This is very strange card. My other Gigabyte 64 OC gets 182 without probem.

Yes you are right Gigabyte vega 64 gaming oc is not so good card very sensitive card crashes very easy

I have another problem. Just bought Sapphire RX Vega 56 Triple DP OC.
I have two rigs able to power up this kind of card. On both, it is not recognized. I mean fans start spinning but the card is not on the list and it is also not shown on the console while booting up.
Meanwhile, on other computers with windows, it works as a single card. Strange is in it?

I sympathize with your problem, but unfortunately, except for a reboot, nothing will help. At least from my experience. If you find a succeed way and сould you write please.

Hello Guys,

I have 8 Vega 64 (Sapphire Radeon RX Vega 64 8176 MB · AMD/ATI Samsung HBM2 · 113-D0500100-104)
They doing 41MH without AMDMEMORYTWEAK. With AMT it goes to around 47MH.

I am trying to flash them to Vega 56 in order to get 55MH as other miners here are getting.

But I am not able to find matching Vega 56 Bios to flash.

Though from employee software VGA Bios Collection | TechPowerUp

I flashed with all 3 bios one by one

Miner only works with stock settings. Once I do OC then miner does not start mining nor gives any error. If i clear OC settings then after rebooting it start mining at 38MH with default settings.

I am not able to do anything except going back to vega 64 stock bios.

Any advice would help and appriciated.

Hello all, I’ve been working on trying to tweak my cards a little better.
I’ve managed to get 52.62mh on my MSI Vega 56 Airboost.
I can get it over 53 if I raise mem to 980 but I get about 10 invalids a day.
Currently I’m getting 3 invalids a day.

Any suggestions? maybe something to change in the straps to see if can get rid of the invalids and maybe go a little higher on mem.

I have 2 Hynix Vega 56’s churning nicely at 180mh/s and one flashed 64 at 200 mh/s using above straps.

I have a huge problem with my fourth card. It’s a 56 flashed to 64 by previous owner and can’t find a way to flash it back. When I have running with above straps for Hynix, I get the the 180 mph/s but with 33% hardware errors. No matter what I’ve changed it will also show up dead every 40 minutes or so on average.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

did you flip the “force flash” switch on bios tab ?
Correct rom is usually your gpu´s manufacurer´s vega version 56 bios
