Vega 64 - 54MH/s with less than 130w

193 is so much

Are you mining Ethereum?

i wish .

I am mining ERGO

Are the cards asus rogsitrix vega 64?

Some good settings there. After applying Straps I’ve got my 56’s running stable at c. 50Mh. I’ve pushed them to 52 but one becomes unstable and dies.

Can you share with me what you’ve done with your 5700XT? Those are some nice hashes!

Sure. It’s an Aorus RX 5700 XT. I did a very easy bios mod. You can find it easily on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOwy_Rr5uR0)

It made it go from 54 to 57 but it was not stable. Got it in a good shape with that overclock settings you can see in the image.

hey bud, can i know how you setup your ergo wallet?
planning to shift 1 rig

You can try gate.io, they have ergo_usdt pairing, so it’s easy to cash out

Flashed my Sapphire Nitro Vega 64 with the Vega 56 bios downloaded from Techpowerup. This one : VGA Bios Collection: Sapphire RX Vega 56 8 GB | TechPowerUp
Vbios, force mode in hiveos.
After that, the rig died. Tried to ssh on boot, i could type in my username, but no time for password, because putty lost connection.
No dag generation,no mining on the other cards, nothing on the hiveos.farm webpage.

Put it into my desktop pc, monitor connected to my igp.
Couldnt boot.
Use the phyiical bios switch on the card, and got into windows.
I forgot to save my original bios, so i downloaded the Vega 64 nitro bios from techpowerup.

While the card was runing, i switched back to the first bios, and flashed it with amdvbflash.
Now i can boot into windows with my primary bios.

What happened, where can i get the proper 56 bios ?

You need to flash to a Vega 56 of the same type some of them have different memory I think so you need to ensure the code are compatible

I’ve got Samsung Rams
Which one should i download ?

Try this one VGA Bios Collection: Sapphire RX Vega 56 8 GB | TechPowerUp
The bios version should be the same

you did it right, but for this kind of vega 64 to be flashed with vega 56, the bios switch must stay towards the monitor hook, away from the gpu pin.

Switch the bios switch towards the monitor connector and that should solve your problem.

oh please, i know, you’re welcome. lol

On Samsung cards I’m able to get 55.1 Mhs with these settings:

core 1100, mem 1020, vdd 850, power 130w
amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 37 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 20 --REF 65535 --RFC 248 --RTP 5 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12

On Hynix cards I can get 52.4 MHs with these settings:

core 1100, mem 960, vdd 850, power 125W
amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 36 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 22 --REF 65535 --RFC 239 --RTP 5 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 13 --RCDWR 12

Thanks hotness! I’m getting 53mhs on my Vega 56 (samsung) with your settings.
I turned the memory down to 1000 though to keep fan speed in check.
I’m curios what voltage are you running memory at?
Thanks!

I haven’t changed memory voltage so I would say I’m using default. I flash all my Vegas to 56 bios which uses lower default memory votlage.
I set fans to 70 but the actual speed is anywhere between 75-90%.

I let it run overnight, keep in mind my memmhz is 1000 and no mem voltage set.
I had 3 invalid and 1659 accepted.
Should I tweak anything to get rid of invalids?

how can I tell what BIOS must I download to flash my vega 64? I know everyone says the same but the 56 version but how to tell what is my exact version. hive just shows as xxxx-xxxx

I have the gigabyte 64 so there is no dual bios as well

Cant say for sure about gigabyte but usually vegas are not too picky about bios. Sometimes after flash the good working bios shows in hive as xxx.xxx.xxx so thats not indication of bad rom. If you have possibility, hook your card to win pc and run gpu-z, that will show all device id etc so u can look for exact same vbios file.good luck

whats the odds of the card bricking?

Good point, if u dont have 2 bios on gpu… anyways, i have flashed vega s +10 x and have manage brick dual bios card only by forcing by “purpose”… when testing compatibility.
Cant give u odds :innocent:… doubt that anyone can, decicion its up to u. Flashing is common practice anyways…
