Wrong RTX 3080 TI?

Hi there,

I’ve juste got my self a brand new RTX 3080 TI FE. Mining at stock clocks is hell! GPU Temp reaches 78°C (172,4°F ???), Fans go for 2200rpm. Memory Junction temp goes 90-104. But the worst of all, hashrate is permantly going up and down!

Is this a wrong card? Comparing to my RTX 3060 TI it feels like absolutly wrong :-/

you need to set clocks, stock is fine for gaming, not good for mining.

Hi, ok. But it’s it normal such high temperatures? Sounds REALLY high to me.

it shouldnt reach those temps with proper OCs + high fan speeds

Cut the Memory timings in half (2350 to 1175) if using windows.

Thanks guys for answering. Actually it’s all stock clocks…I guess I should RMA…

No, you should lower the OC/clocks. Mining is a constant load, whereas gaming spikes up and down. So stock clocks MIGHT work while gaming, through probably not, but won’t work for mining. It’s not a defect in the GPU.

Ok, i’ll do that. Thanks guys!
